Chris has served as Director of Missions since August 2008. Prior to this role, he served at First Baptist Church of Kingfisher as Youth and Education Minister for 12 years and at First Baptist Church of Hennessey as Youth Minister for 6 years. Chris holds a Bachelor’s degree in History from the University of Central Oklahoma and pursued theological studies at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He was ordained to the gospel ministry on January 8, 1995.

Chris is married to his wife, Laurie, who serves as a pre-kindergarten teacher in the Kingfisher Public School System and also teaches Kindergarten Sunday School at First Baptist Church of Kingfisher. Their family includes Kaylie and her husband Santi, and two sons Mateo and Lucas Mejía, as well as Megan and her husband Domingo Garcia.

Kaylie has served as the Administrative Assistant since 2015. Prior to joining the association, she gained valuable experience working in a financial institution as a teller and in new accounts from 2006 to 2012, as a Behavioral Rehabilitation Specialist from 2011 to 2012, and as a Teaching Assistant in a school in Ecuador from 2012 to 2015.

Kaylie holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Central Oklahoma. She is also currently serving part-time as the Children’s Ministry Coordinator at First Baptist Church of Kingfisher, where she has a heart for supporting children and families in their spiritual growth.

Kaylie is married to her husband, Santi, and spent three years living in his home country of Ecuador. They have two sons, Mateo and Lucas, and value their cross-cultural experiences, which continue to shape Kaylie’s passion for ministry, service, and administration.
