Disaster Reilef Training

The purpose and philosophy of Southern Baptist Disaster Relief is to help Southern Baptists act immediately and effectively- as Jesus did- to help people. When people are hurting because of a disaster, we respond with love and with healing.

Volunteer training-orientation is open to any member of a Southern Baptist church who is at least 18 years of age. Attending training-orientation does not obligate you to serve, but is necessary before serving. Everyone is required to attend both Introduction to Southern Baptist Disaster Relief and Feeding Unit/Line Serving training-orientation. Disaster Relief ID badges are issued to those who complete training. Badges expire to insure that EVERYONE attends training every three years.

Central Baptist Association works with the Southern Baptist Convention to help meet the needs of others during a time of disaster. We currently have a Feeding Unit that is called for action when the time arises. All trainings will be done on the state level and we will continue to keep you informed when there are training in our Zone.
